Respiratory Illness in Children :
Being familiar with common respiratory illnesses is important for both parents and caregivers. A cough or cold could possibly lead to a more serious infection such as pneumonia or severe bronchitis. Even a simple sore throat can become a serious infection if untreated. These are some signs to watch for : persistent fever over 101 degrees, breathing difficulty, decreased fluid intake, severe throat pain or chest discomfort. Don't hesitate to bring your child in for evaluation if symptoms persist. |
